Toronto House

Toronto House is a joint venture between Westbank and Allied. Designed by Hariri Pontarini Architects, the project retains the visual integrity of the historic Southam Press building in its podium levels, while integrating a 58 story rental residential tower above.

Toronto House is designed for the growing creative class that is defining Toronto -- one of North America’s fastest growing technology hubs. The workspace component of Toronto House is home to Thomson Reuter’s new Global Innovation Hub, who have made a significant long term commitment to Toronto and Canada.

The project also contributes 464 contemporary homes for lease in the heart of Downtown Toronto. Each element speaks to a more creative and inspiring future for life and work – creative workspace, homes for flexible stays, our House Concepts fitness and wellness brand, and The Club House, an innovative members club on levels 57 and 58, all come together in a “collision zone” for inspiration.

By bringing together fitness, wellness, creativity, innovation and experience, Toronto House is a unique offering in Canada and something that can be built upon. Toronto House is an important component to our practice’s expansion and the surrounding neighbourhood will be an area of future concentration for us.

What we’ve achieved is a project that will bring vibrancy, and creativity to a already rich and diverse community. Providing new homes for the next generation of industries, though-leaders, innovators, creators and disruptors, that will share our cities.
